Elections in Poland: Komorowski is in the lead now
The second round of the early presidential elections in Poland has finished. BelaPAN refers to the AFP agency and informs that the speaker of the Polish Parliament Bronisław Komorowski is in the lead. 53.1% of electors have voted for him.
His rival, the leader of the party “Law and Justice” Jarosław Kaczyński has scored 46.9% of votes. A Polish TV channel TVN informs that 51.09% of people have voted for Komorowski while Kaczyński has scored 48.91% of votes.
The AFP agency notes that Jarosław Kaczyński has already conceded election. As soon as the results of exit polls became known, the leader of “Law and Justice” made a speech for representatives of his pre-election team and congratulated Komorowski on his victory.
