Entrepreneurs’ march and meeting to take place in Minsk on December 15
Minsk City Executive Committee has allowed entrepreneurs to conduct a march and a meeting in the capital on December 15. Participants of the march will be allowed to gather near the office of the administration of the National Library at 1 p.m. Then they will proceed along Independence Avenue towards Surhanava Street and then to Bangalor Square. The meeting will start in Peoples’ Friendship Park at 2.45 and end at 4 p.m.
The head of the association of entrepreneurs “Prospect” Anatol Shumchanka claims that at least one thousand people will take part in the action.
The action of entrepreneurs is aimed at demonstrating that it will be impossible to work after January 1, 2009. BelaPAn reminds that the third paragraph of decree №285 “On some measures of regulation of entrepreneurs’ activities” will be suspended on this day. Private entrepreneurs paying single tax will have to present documents for goods imported from Russia. A.Shumchanka thinks that the innovation will cause liquidation of the majority of private entrepreneurs and increase unemployment in Belarus.
