Fire at Russian nuclear submarine in Primorye
The reactor on "Tomsk" submarine is reported to have been switched off before it was placed to dockage facility for repair.
According to RIA Novosti, the crew and the weapons have been evacuated from the submarine. Now, the specialists are fighting with the fire using foam. A fire rescuing boat and a radiation control boat have been sent there for help.
The fire started on Monday morning during welding works. 13 fire rescuing squads of the Pacific Ocean Navy and the Ministry for Emergency Situations arrived at the spot.
