Fired teachers from Druzhny stand trial
Former teachers from the village of Druzhny Nastassya Papova and Tatstsyana Dylkova are standing trial in Puhavichy District Court today. They took part in the protest action against the construction of a pest-killers plant on April 25.
N.Papova claimed that she was not guilty and demanded a lawyer at the very beginning of the hearing. Her appeal was satisfied. The trial will take place on June 11.
N.Papova and T.Dylkova worked as teachers in school #1 in the village of Druzhny. They were made to resign.
Inhabitants of Druzhny, Svislach, Rudzenk, Dukora and other villages also protest against the construction of the plant. They sent appeals in protest against it to the Constitutional Court, Office of Public Prosecutor, government and Alyaksandr Lukashenka. Now they are collecting signatures to send appeals to the UN and OSCE.
