Former political prisoner Frantskevich sentenced to 25 days in jail

On Tuesday, February 3, Savietski court of Minsk sent former political prisoner Alyaksandr Frantskevich for 25 days in jail. He was detained by the police the day before. The judge Artsiom Byaskishski found Frantskevich guilty of "petty hooliganism" and "disobedience to the lawful demands of the official",  spring96.org reports.

In the court Alyaksandr Frantskevich  said that people in civilian clothes took him from his job, brought him to the police department of the Savietski district where they filed reports against him on administrative offense. Witnesses - special police officers Sinyak and Palavinkin - claimed that they saw Frantskevich ay Nezalezhnastsi Avenue, he was behaving suspiciously and then allegedly began to run away from them. They caught him, introduced themselves, and former political prisoner responded with "gross obscenities". Then Frantskevich was detained. The night before the trial he spent in prison in Akrestsina.

Alyaksandr Frantskevich is 24 years old. In May 2011, he was sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment in a colony in the "case of anarchists." The political prisoner was released in September 2013. Later he got under administrative arrest.
