Russia's chief sanitary doctor complains about dairy products from Belarus
The latest 'milk war' with Russia took place in 2009.
The Russian sanitary service has complaints about the quality of Belarusian dairy products exported to Russia, according to the statement by Russian chief sanitary physician Gennadi Onishchenko.
240 samples of Belarusian dairy products were tested in Moscow Oblast alone, interfax.by quotes him as saying. 72 samples or 30 per cent did not meet the quality and safety standards.
Onishchenko hopes that Belarus will take measures according to the agreements reached during Belarusian delegation's visit to Moscow at the beginning of August.
In particular, he complained about Savushkin Product and Minsk milk plant #1. The products he mentioned were curds, butter, milk and dried milk.
Onishchenko and the Russian sanitary service usually complain about the countries creating tension in relations with Russia. Ukrainian and Georgian products used to be banned in Russia. This statement may be explained by Baumgertner's case.
