German ambassador to Lukashenka: Elections will decisive for Belarus
“The months nearing the (parliamentary) elections will become, to a certain extent, decisive for Belarus and its further situation in Europe", German Ambassador Gebhardt Weiss said during today's meeting with Alexander Lukashenka in Minsk. “If the process does ahead, a new situation will emerge after this election," said the ambassador.
Alexander Lukashenka in turn expressed his discontent with the operation of several EU ambassadors and the US ambassador in Minsk.
“I don't quite understand the role of the majority of EU ambassadors and especially the US ambassador. I don't want to make secret of that. That's why I sometimes talk tough," the head of the state said. Lukashenka stressed that the difference between official statements and actual actions by some of the ambassadors really make him sad, reports Interfax.
