Half of Belarus population does not believe in God
Around of 50 percent of Belarus population describe themselves as God believers, while the rest say they are Atheists, Uladzimir Lameka, an officer in charge of religions and nationalities at the Council of Ministers of Belarus, said in a statement.
He also noted that 80 percent of believers described themselves as Orthodox Christian. In the past 20 years, the number of confessions has increased threefold in Belarus. There are currently 25 religious confessions represented by 3193 religious organizations, reports Interfax
