Kazulin thinks Lukashenka wants to breathe new life in BSU by changing the rector
The rector of BSU has been replaced. Syarhei Ablameika has become the head of the higher educational institution instead of Vasil Strazhau. Alyaksandr Lukashenka has signed a corresponding decree. A former BSU rector Alyaksandr Kazulin thinks that the President wants to breathe new life in the university. The professor noted in an interview with ERB that Syarhei Ablameika was a scientist rather then a leader.
Alyaksandr Kazulіn: “He is an excellent scientist. He has a lot of works published by foreign magazines. He is a good scientific authority. Naturally, it may not be enough to organize the work of the university. But time will show”.
Appointing the new rector, Lukashenka noted that the university had to make money on its own and produce some goods besides providing people with good education.
