Car hits activist near Kurapaty restaurant
A car hit activist Leanid Kulakou near the restaurant in Kurapaty, he has an arm fracture now. The incident occurred at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, one of the leaders of the BCD organizing committee Pavel Sevyarynets told Radio Liberty. Two girls approached the restaurant in a Toyota. The driver could see the picketers but did not slow down.
The car hit Kulakou injuring his arm and leg. An ambulance and driving inspectors were called. A fracture of the left arm was diagnosed in Kulakou later.
Activists of different political parties and civil organizations have been demanding to close down the restaurant near the people’s memorial in Kurapaty for about a month. Kulakou regularly takes part in the pickets.
