Lithuanian furniture-makers invest $100 mln in Belarus
Furniture-making companies from Lithuania are behind one of the biggest foreign investments into Belarus' industrial sector.
Mebelain company, part of SBA concern, and Vakarų medienos grupė (VMG) have invested around 270 million litas (approximately 100 million US dollars) into a production complex near Mahilyou, report Lithuanian media.
The official launch of the two enterprises, scheduled for July 10, will be attended by Belarus Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich.
The furniture will be supplied to Swedish furniture giant IKEA.
