Lukashenka accuses government of disrupting economic plans
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has accused the government and the National Bank of failing the plan for the first half of 2010, reports BelaPAN. The issue is connected with failing to fulfill the most important terms of the country’s social and economic development. As a result, the GDP growth rate totalled 107% instead of the planned 111-113%.
The state leader reproached the government that simple foreign investments were not attracted to the country. The work of state organs in this direction is unsatisfactory, thinks Lukashenka. The net yield of foreign investments in the Belarusian economy totalled only 20.5% of the last year’s index.
He also drew attention to the problem of accumulation of products in warehouses. At the moment 59% of the average monthly production is stored in warehouses.
