Lukashenka criticizes collective security treaty organization (OTCS)
The leader of Belarus has poured criticism on the Organization of the Treaty on Collective Security (OTCS), reports Belapan. In his view, this security grouping of the former Soviet states failed to react on time to the turmoil in Kyrgyzstan, thus having no perspectives in the current status. According to Lukashenka, inside the treaty organization, only Belarus and Russia have similar stances on all the issues. All other states have their absolutely own point of view and position, he stressed.
Lukashenka also said he was yet to decide if he is to attend an informal summit of the grouping to take place on May 8 in Moscow. The Belarusian leader said he would travel to Moscow on certain conditions, for example if the summit is to consider the issue of Kyrgyzstan.
Besides, Lukashenka also plans to take place the Victory Parade on May 9 in Minsk.
