Lyabedzka: Belarus should have a critical dialogue with every EU member state
Anatol Lyabedzka promotes “a critical dialogue” between the EU and Belarus. The leader of the United Civil Party claimed it during the regularly scheduled 13th congress of the party on March 21. "The UCP gradually supports the international policy based on national interests which means we need a critical dialogue with very EU member state”, - said Lyabedzka.
According to him, some opposition forces are wrong because they try to establish all the possible contacts with the Belarusian authorities. “I think that Belarus needs investments in democracy. I do not want the country’s economy to be supported in a situation where there are no democratic elections and no freedom of speech”, reports BelPAN quoting Lyabedzka.
The party leader has stressed that the European Union supporting Belarus should set up certain claims like allocating credits in response to free elections.
