Mikalaj Lazavik: November 19 was chosen as registration date by "taking a stab in the dark"
"We took a stab in the dark! We left a month for the candidates to conduct the agitation work", – responded the CEC Secretary Mikalaj Lazavik to the question why they planned to register candidates precisely on November 19. This date was previously announced by the CEC Chairperson Lidzia Yarmoshyna.
According to Lazavik, this is only the hope of the election commission, as it is stated in the calendar that registration should take place on November 14-23.
"If the documents are ready in due time and there are no complications, then we will be able to shorten this term and register candidates on November 17-19", – stated Lazavik. However, this term can be prolonged as the CEC employees do not know yet which problems they will face, added the CEC Secretary.
