Mikhail Orda elected chairman of Belarus Trade Unions Federation
It was decided today by the FTU Board meeting in Minsk.
"It is a great honor and responsibility for me, because, as Belarusian leader Alyaksandr Lukashenka said, trade unions, councils of deputies and youth organizations are the backbone of our state and society. Protection of the interests of the employee, namely the person who creates the wealth of our country and our well-being, has always been and remains the main task for trade unions. We will use for this all the possibilities that the trade union has, we weill work closely with the government," Mikhail Orda reacted to the appointment.
It should be recalled that the former head of the Federation of Trade Unions, Leanid Kozik, resigned on September 22.
Mikhail Orda was born September 28, 1966. He was a member of the House of Representatives of the second and third convocation, deputy chairman of the Standing Committee on State Development, Local Government and Regulations. He was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia of the second convocation, the team leader of the National Assembly for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria, he is a member of the National OSCE PA delegation.
He has a note of acknowledgement from Alyaksandr Lukashenka and was awarded with the Honorary Diploma of the Presidential Administration, Diploma of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. He is married, has a son and a daughter.
