Milinkevich: No need to take part in ritual dances

Alexander Millinkevich, the leader of For Freedom movement on April 9 visited the towns of Kamianets and Malaryta. Some 15 people attended each meeting.
None of pro-democracy activists have ever visited this small towns. Milinkevich also visited Malaryta for the first time. He said he is yet to visit around 30 district towns. During his trip, he felt a constant attention from the authorities. Near Kamianest, the police delayed him for almost one hour.

During the meeting, Milinkevich talked about the danger of giant loans from Russia and supported EU's attempts to care about Belarus. The participants of the meeting also asked him to comment on the widely spread views about the marginalization of the opposition.

Alexander Milinkevich: - This is very simple. Marginalization is when you are at the sidelines of events and when you do not influence on the situation in the country. One can talks for hours that the regime is bloody and despotic and that the opposition has no money.  But, we could have addapted better to the reality and become more efficient. I think that politics means results. If there is no result, something should be changed. (Opposition) should think better rather take part in never-ending ritual dances. If we simply evaluate the situation and give commentaries, we are commentators or experts but not politicians. Only those who have reached at least a small result can be called politicians.
