Minister of Labour and Social Protection: Belarusians should work in 2 jobs
Over 90% of Belarusians only have one job, Maryana Shchotkina said.
Belarusians must be more active to improve their wellbeing, Minister of Labour and Social Protection told BELTA during her visit to the footwear factory Nyoman.
Families having minor children are getting social payments that exceed the minimal wage now, Shchotkina claimed. Such payments are sometimes comparable to wages at some enterprises.
Families planning to have children must work more to provide themselves, the official added. “Almost 93% of Belarusians work in only one job, both men and women. If the mother is looking after children at home, the father must work more,” Shchotkina explained. Belarusians need to be more active to improve their wellbeing, she added.
