Minister of Trade sees no reason to increase prices in Belarus
The Ministry of Trade ‘still needs to conduct the policy aimed at decreasing the prices and markups’.
There is no reason to increase prices for goods in Belarus, Minister of Trade Valyantsin Chakanau said.
"We still need to conduct the policy aimed at decreasing the prices and markups and solving physical problems,” BELTA quotes the official.
Domestic goods are overwhelming the market at the moment, the Minister noted. The increase was 0.5% in the first half of 2015. 80% of the internal food market belongs to Belarusian products.
Trade is one of the key braches of the economy. 15% of the employable population works in trade.
