Minsktrans wants to increase public transport fare by 100 rubles
The Ministry of Transport and Communication has suggested that the government should increase the public transport fare by 100 rubes. Minister Ivan Shcherba has claimed it, reports BelaPAN. He has explained that the tariffs have not changed since August 2007. Meanwhile, the expenses have increased since then – the prices for fuel, spear parts and aggregates have increased. That is why Misnktrans has suggested increasing the tariffs for public transportation by 100 rubes – to 600 rubles in the provinces and to 700 rubles – in Minsk.
Shcherba is sure that the increase of the fares by only 100 rubles is not that much and will not affect people’s well-being.
