Only two Belarusian-speaking first-formers found in Mahileu

The problem of providing first formers with education in Belarusian has been being solved since the beginning of summer in Mahileu. Officials demand to get 25 children to create a Belarusian class at one of the city schools. The head of the educational department of Mahileu City Executive Committee Syarhei Kazlou has informed that they have received only two requests for education in Belarusian from first-formers’ parents so far. They have been offered five schools situated in different microdistricts of the city. Those parents are trying to choose a school for their children now.
