ONT to punish reporter over DPM’s statement at TIBO

Тэлеканал АНТ пакарае журналіста за сюжэт з віцэ-прэм'ерам Калініным на TIBO

A funny episode from Deputy Prime Minister Anatol Kalinin’s interview given at TIBO-2016 was shown on ONT. However, the consequences are not funny. The reporter who aired the video will be punished, nn.by reports quoting ONT broadcasting director Ruslan Paddubski.

"The journalist arrived 2 minutes before the programme and did not check the video before airing it. He lacked time. We usually check all videos. The mistake was noticed when it was too late,” Paddubski said.

Anatol Kalinin was not offended: “Such things may happen and he understands everything.” The official will give an interview to ONT chief Ryhor Kisel in the evening of April 20. He will explain what he meant in his statement at TIBO.

The DPM’s speech shown on TV is the result of the reporter’s negligence, Paddubski claimed. “The worst part of the interview was selected for the programme. The journalist will be punished for breaking the work discipline.”

Euroradio tried guessing the sense of the DPM’s words before Kalinin’s explanation.
