Picket against dispersion of gay pride parade in Belarus takes place near Belarusian Embassy to Moscow
The picket took place near the Belarusian Embassy to Moscow this morning. A civil activist Vyacheslav Rechin protested against the yesterday’s dispersion of the sexual minorities’ action by Minsk police. "The government of the Republic of Belarus violated the right of citizens including two Russian citizens for free assembly yesterday. I do not support the event “Slavonic gay-pride”, however, I think that the state and the government should act according to the law and the International Human Rights Declaration”, - reports Gazeta.ru quoting Revin.
Let us remind you that that 8 people were detained during the action (according to other sources - 7) including two Russians. They are in the confinement cell in Akrestsina Street now. They will stand trials on Monday.
