Polish Ambassador: We will consider the problem of the Union of Poles next week
No meeting of the Belarusian-Polish committee created to settle the conflict of the Union of Poles took place on March 9 as no meeting was appointed. The Polish Ambassador to Minsk Henrik Litvin has informed ERB about it. The Ambassador has noted that the meeting is being prepared and will take place next week.
Henrik Litvin: “It is difficult to answer why the commission’s meeting has not taken place today as nothing was appointed for today. The date of March 9 appeared in some journalists’ reasoning because neither Belarusian nor Polish officials confirmed the date. At the same time, the meeting is being prepared now and will certainly take place – it may happen next week”.
As Mr. Litvin has stressed, the exact date has not been appointed yet although a few dates have been suggested. The decision will be taken soon.
