100 workers demand wages in Vitsebsk
Workers of the frame-and-panel construction plant “DSK” refused to get down to work on the morning on June 1 – they had not received their April wages.
According to “People’s News of Vitsebsk”, about 100 people gathered near the entrance to the armature workshop and claimed that they would not start working until they received wages at about 7 a.m. Deputy director-generals managed to persuade the people to get down to work and promised that they would be paid. The money was transferred to workers’ cards by 12 p.m.
