Ales Kirkevich's letters are "filtered" in Valararski street prison
Ales receives letters only from his wife and his mother, while it is known for sure that other Hrodna inhabitants also write letters to the political prisoner.
Previously, Hrodna inhabitant Ales Kirkevich, convicted to 4 years of imprisonment under the accusation of the so-called "mass disturbances", did not receive all the newspapers for which he had been subscribed. Thus, his personal correspondence is "filtered" by the prison administration, the human rights center "Viasna" infroms.
Ales is still in custody in the detention center in Valadarski street. According to his wife Nadzeya Krapivina, in spite of the strong heat in the detention center, Kirkevich did not appeal to transfer him to the Novapolatsk colony, where he is supposed to serve his punishment. The political prisoner is still in the same over-crowded cell.
