Alyaksandr Lukashenka promises “to stop the brigandage” and curb prices
The Belarusian leader has demanded to curb the food prices by the New Year’s Day.
Lukashenka: “We had to cover the prime cost somehow, to help the producers. We raised the prices. Now we should stop and understand that nobody will allow us to keep rising the prices. Nobody will. I will not endure it. We have raised them and that’s it! Go and work up foreign markets. Sell your goods there and make money. You have to compete instead of simply raising the prices because people will have to put up with it anyway. It is not politics. That’s it – the brigandage is over”.
The statement was made by the state leader during his trip across Minsk District on November 15.
