Amnesty International considers Andrzej Poczobut prisoner of conscience
The organization states that the Belarusian journalist is arrested because he realised his legal right for freedom of speech.
"Amnesty International" evaluates the situation with Poczobut as "a part of the picture of intimidation of civil society activists and journalists".
The organization calls on everyone who has sympathy for Poczobut to send letters demanding to release him immediately to the Belarusian authorities.
Let us remind you, Belarusian correspondent of the Polish newspaper "Gazeta Wyborcza" Andrzej Poczobut was arrested at his own house on June 21. A criminal case for slander against the state leader has been started against the journalist.
