Authorities to conduct their own "people's assembly"

Last weekend the Belarusian authorities started preparation for conducting of the All-Belarusian Assembly of patriotic forces, which will be loyal to Lukashenka. This event is supposed to become a response to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, prepared by the democratic forces, “Narodnaya Volya” writes. The Assembly is being prepared under the supervision of the head of presidential administration Uladzimir Makey. Local officials have already sent a circular letter, suggesting to sign the "Agreement for creating an initiative group", to the heads of pro-authoritative non-profit civil organizations and political parties.

Let us remind you, the People's Assembly is planned to be conducted in the Bangalore Square in Minsk on September 8. The date of the pro-authoritative official event is still unknown.
