Barack Obama declares 'major disaster' in NY
The state has been declared a major disaster area due to the damage brought to the U.S. East Coast by superstorm Sandy.
The wind has caused floods and led to a transport collapse in NY. People have been left without power too.
The water level has risen by 4 meters in one of the NYC districts, subway tunnels are flooded.
