Baradach’s memorandum of “National Revival Council” is out
Goals and tasks of the structure created by retired Belarusian officers living abroad are listed in it.
The authors of the document state that “there are no legitimate governmental departments in the country” and that “the people and opposition’s resistance are suppressed”. The Memorandum criticizes the administration of the opposition that “has turned into simulation, dissidence and pseudo-opposition” and “is infested with agents of the regime”.
"National Revival Council” claims that it sees itself as “the only coordination centre of the real Belarusian struggle for a new Belarus without dictatorships and without Belarusian criminals” (and as “a provisional government” in the future)”. It is going “to win within 3 or 5 years”.
The goals are “replacement of the illegitimate government” and “economic and political reforms”. The tasks are divided into political, economic, social and foreign policy ones and are also divided into “immediate” and “further”.
According to the Memorandum, the authors are hoping to start “legal and illegal struggle”. They have asked the Russian, EU and U.S. authorities for assistance.
