Belarusian investigator-refugee released from Polish prison
The Polish authorities will not deport him to Belarus, most likely. Euroradio found this out from its own sources.
Let us remind you, Andrei Pyzhyk and his
family left Belarus several years ago.
He
closed a criminal case against the opposition activist and was fired from
police for that. The pressure on the investigator started then. Being abroad,
Pyzhyk gave an interview about the essence of the law-enforcement system in
Belarus. He asked for political asylum in Poland but they haven't provided it
to him for more than 5 years by now.
Pyzhyk
was arrested on June 5. The Polish police received the documents on his
extradition to Belarus.
