Belarusian U-21 national team to play in European Championship finals
Heorhi Kandratsieu's trainees will play their first game against Iceland in Aarhus today.
U-21 European Football Championship finals
start today in Denmark.
Heorhi Kandratsieu's
trainees will play their first game in Group A against Iceland in Aarhus today,
then - against Denmark on June 14, and will close the group stage on June 18 -
they will play against Switzerland, BELTA's correspondent informs.
Full schedule of Euro-2011 U-21 in Denmark:
Group А:
11 June - Belarus - Iceland, Denmark -
Switzerland,
14 June - Iceland - Switzerland; Denmark - Belarus;
18 June -Iceland - Denmark, Switzerland - Belarus.
Group В:
12 June - Czech Republic - Ukraine, England - Spain;
15 June - Czech
Republic -Spain, Ukraine - England;
19 June - England - Czech
Republic, Ukraine - Spain.
Two top teams of each group go through to the semi-finals, which will take
place on June 22. The final game will take place on June 25. The winners will
get not only this championship's prizes but will also pass to the
Olympics-2012. To win the Olympic license a team must make it to place 1-3, and
in case England gets into the top-3, the 4th team will also pass to the
Olympics-2012.
Belarusian fans will have an opportunity to see all games live on air on the First TV-Channel and "Lad" TV-Channel. The first broadcasting starts today at 18.50 on the First TV-Channel.
