BPF decides whether to participate in election furthermore
This issue is discussed at the second session of the pre-electoral assembly of the organizaton, which is taking place on September 15 in Minsk.
The first session too place on August 4.
Today, at the very beginning of the assembly, Chairman of the BPF party
Alyaksei Yanukevich stated that he considered the agitation campaign of the
party candidates successful. However, in spite of this, the organization may
refuse from further struggle for the deputy mandates of the House of
Representatives.
"We
have worded the preliminary conditions under which we will consider it possible
for us to take part in the election till the end. These are absence of political
prisoners and including our representatives to the elections commissions. As
these conditions have not been fulfilled by today, the political prisoners are
still in prisons and too few our representatives became members of the
elections commission, the most likely result of our assembly will be withdrawal
of all candidates", - Radio
