Brest authorities get ready for “silent action” (photo)
The weekly venue of “silent revolutionists” will be occupied by a concert stage for several days.
The City Executive Committee informs that preparation for the concert dated for July 3 (Independence Day) is in process in Lenin Square. Officials do not inform whether any official events are going to be organized there on June 29.
Let us remind you that a children’s bicycle race was organized in Brest central square on June 22. The police restricted the access of non-participants to the area. The local authorities decided to organize the event the day before instead of waiting for 10 days as the law requires.
It is worth mentioning that Bresters were not informed about the bicycle race in advance. Human rights activist Syarhei Vakulenka has lodged a complaint to the higher authorities in connection with these violations.
