Byalyatski: European Parliament interested in Pochobut’s case
The trial of Hrodna journalist Andrzej Poczobut has received publicity both in Belarus and abroad.
Human rights activist Ales Byalyatski has informed Euroradio about it on air.
Byalyatski: “The case is notorious. It is mentioned in the last resolution of the European Parliament. The most popular Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza (he works for it) wrote about it every day. Speaking about politicians and human rights organizations, they are aware and they are worried about this case. The case is considered to be a new turn of repressions directed against the civil society in Belarus which is not directly connected with the events of December 19”.
