Congress of Belarusian Writers' Union takes place in Minsk (photo, updated)
It takes place for the 16th time.
Laureate of the Belarusian State Award poet Henadz Buraukin opened the congress. The following people are present in the hall: Anatol Vyartsinski, Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, Mikola Auramchyk, Alyaksandr Fyaduta, Sweden's Ambassador Stefan Eriksson, Uladzimir Arlou, Leanid Dranko-Maysyuk, Victar Shalkevich and others, Radio Liberty informs.
The agenda includes report of Chairman of the organization Ales Pashkevich, speeches of delegates and honourable guests, election of directive board, adoption of the summarizing resolution.
The Belarusian Writers' union unites more than 400 members at present.
