Currency exchange rates: dollar – 3990, euro – 5770
The National Bank has allowed banks to set the exchange rate themselves; however, they are not allowed to sell dollars for more than 4000 roubles.
The dollar costs 3990 roubles and the euro – 5770 in foreign currency exchange offices as of May 11. It is connected with the National Bank’s decision to allow banks to set the exchange rate themselves. Despite this fact, representatives of banks inform that the National Bank has forbidden selling dollars for more than 4000 roubles.
“It is too early to talk about the cancellation of recommendations because the National Bank has recommended not to exceed 4000 roubles, - said BelSwissBank to Euroradio. – The exchange rate is 3990-4000 roubles now. You see, all the banks have decided to set one and the same exchange rate for a reason. There are orders. The exchange rate may be allowed to increase again soon. It depends on advice and recommendations”.
