is a very rare astronomic occurrence. Next time we will have the opportunity to
see this only in 105 years.
The
transit of the Venus is seen when it is located right between the Sun and the
Earth. From the Earth, the Venus looks like a small black spot which is slowly
moving on the Sun disc.
For an observer from the Earth, the movement of the Venus will last for several hours. It will be possible to see it by an unaided eye, but through the darkened glass and under the condition of good eye-sight. However, it is better to use special equipment. Such observations without the sun filter may damage one's eyes.
