Editor-in-chief of “Nasha Niva” becomes travel banned
Andrei Dynko has been made to get off the “Minsk-Vilnius” train.
Frontier guards did not explain the reason for Dynko’s travel ban and advised that he should ask the Department for Migration and Citizenship about it and return to Minsk. “Nasha Niva” informs about it.
Let us remind you that Belarusian frontier guards did not allow politicians Anatol Lyabedzka, Syarhei Kalyakin, Victar Karnyayenka and human rights defender Valyantsin Stefanovich to go to Lithuania earlier.
TUT.BY informed on February 29 that the Belarusian authorities had created a list of travel banned people who had urged to impose sanctions on the regime. The portal referred to a source close to the government. It was said that there were 108 names on the list. Ex-chairperson of the Supreme Council Stanislau Shushkevich and chairperson of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Zhanna Litvina were said to be on the list. The General Prosecutor’s Office warned that people could be forbidden to leave the country for urging to impose sanctions and that criminal cases could be started against them. However, nobody officially confirmed the existence of such a list.
