EP President condemns dispersal of "silent action"
Jerzy Buzek has condemned dispersal of “silent protest” on June 22 in Minsk. He demands to release all detainees.
According to Buzek's words quoted by Radio Liberty, true leaders listen to their people's voices, while dictators imprison them for their legal demands. The President of the European Parliament thinks that changes will surely come to Belarus as they came to the North Africa.
Buzek also approved the decision of the EU's foreign ministers to impose targeted sanctions on the state enterprises connected with the Belarusian regime.
