Estonia to represent Sweden's interests in Belarus
On Thursday, Estonian government will discuss a draft bill, according to which Tallinn will represent Sweden's interests on visa issues in our country.
Estonia's MFA will present a corresponding
agreement with Sweden to the government. It will replace the document signed
last year. According to the acting agreement, Sweden represents Estonia in
Havana and Pretoria.
The agreement
should come into force on August 20, Radio Liberty informs.
Let us remind you,
Sweden's Ambassador Stefan Eriksson left Belarus in the beginning of August.
The Belarusian authorities did not renew his accreditation. On August 8, the
Belarusian MFA announced that it recalled all employees of the Belarusian
Embassy in Stockholm and recommended that the Swedish side should do the same
and recall all its diplomats till August 30.
