Homel turns into Venice for an hour of rain (photo)

The central streets of the city which is located in the hollow went under the water for 60 minutes of rain. International, Soviet and Karpovich streets suffered the most, as well as the streets located in the area of railway and bus stations. For example, all city transport apart from fixed-route mini-buses just stopped at the International Street which connects two big city districts with the center. As for fixed-route mini-buses, they tried to find bypass ways, together with other drivers. However, there was not less water there.

Besides, meteorologists promised only small short-term rains. Nevertheless, Euroradio became a witness of how several rescuing vehicles hurried to the center with rubber boats.
