IMF does not conduct negotiations with Belarus about new credit
However, a number of the fund’s directors have brought up the idea of a new programme for Belarus.
Senior IMF Resident Representative in Central and Eastern Europe Mark Allen has informed about it. According to him, the IMF will start negotiations when Belarus will be ready for deep structural reforms, reports interfax.by.
Allen has stressed that the reforms should be supported on all governmental levels.
According to him, an IMF mission will visit Belarus by the end of the year. However, no negotiations are planned for the mission.
