Information action in support of political prisoners in Baranavichy
The action was conducted on October 28. Local human rights defenders and civil activist took part in it.
They walked across the city giving out leaflets containing information about the activities of “Vyasna” and the head of the organization, Ales Byalyatski, to passers-by. The activists explained the details of the human rights defender’s detention and the trial that will start in Minsk on November 2.
The participants also pasted leaflets demanding to release Mikalai Statkevich, Andrei Sannikau, Ales Byalyatski, Pavel Sevyarynets and other political prisoners on poster pillars. To express international solidarity, they reminded passers-by about Yuliya Timoshenko imprisoned in Ukraine.
There were no detentions or other unpleasant incidents during the action.
