Le Monde: Belarus does not deserve IMF's help
Observer Jason Bush has written this in the French newspaper.
In his opinion, Aliaksandr Lukashenka is the only reason for Belarus' economic problems. Therefore, he is convinced that IMF should deny credit to Lukashenka. "Inevitable fall down may put Minsk regime under threat", — Іnopressa.ru quotes Bush.
The analyst notes that IMF's credit will only help to support the regime and its obsolete economic model. Credit may not be provided due to economic reasons only, Bush writes. He reminds that Belarus already addressed to IMF back in 2008, promising to conduct broad reforms, but as soon as the crisis was over Lukashenka returned to the old policy. In his opinion, there is little hope that this time the situation will be different.
