Litvina to BT's psychotherapist: I have grounds to appeal to court (video)
Chairperson of the Belarusian Association of Journalists suggested that Andrej Myatselski should apologize for his statements in BT's movie about "BAJ".
The above-mentioned psychotherapist Myatselski performed
the role of an "expert" in the movie, he analyzed Zhanna Litvina's
behaviour. In particular, he said that Litvina demonstrated "revolt, despise
and anger" and the desire "to conceal the truth" by her facial
expression and gestures, informs the web-site baj.by.
The BAJ Chairperson called Myatselski but he refused to apologize. "I think that I have all
the grounds to appeal to the court instances, and then this insult will partly
become your problem, too", - Zhanna Litvina stated in a
conversation with Andrej Myatselski.
Zhanna Litvina: They will not deprive us
of our profession
Chairperson of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Zhanna Litvina called
the Belarusian Television's movie, which allegedly reveals financial swindles
with participation of the BAJ, an attempt to discredit the organization.
Zhanna Litvina: "I would consider the very
fact of its appearance on air in one and the same logical chain with the policy
which is being conducted with regard to independent journalism and
non-governmental mass media".
At the same time, the Chairperson of BAJ underlined that the pressure on the
organization would not deprive its members of their professional courage:
"It is possible to deprive
a person of an opportunity to be a member of a professional civil organization,
but they cannot deprive us of our profession. If we remember which profession
we belong to, what our profession exists for, if we are together and stick to
the truth, it is much easier to live such difficulties through".
