"Lyapises" on social network moderators’ detention: Freedom!
The band “Lyapis Trubetskoy” have made a statement about the detentions of moderators of opposition groups in social networks in Minsk.
The founders of the group “Lyapis Trubetskoy – a free concert in Minsk” on VKontakte have also been detained.
Despite the fact that the band “Lyapis Trubetskoy” has nothing to do with the group and has not been planning to give any concerts in Minsk in the near future (because the band is on the black list of musicians in Belarus), we think that our duty is to support the detained, - is said in the statement. – The authorities restricted musicians’ rights at first and now they have started persecuting their fans. They are not hooligans, bandits or criminals. People are getting repressed for promoting the music they like because the mighty of this world do not like it.
Music is freedom’s last resort. Release the detained!”.
