Ministry of Communication: Andrei Karaim fired as agreed by parties
The director of the company which rented sound equipment for the Freedom Day action has become unemployed.
As it is known, the action was sanctioned
and the organizers made an agreement with the Belarusian radio-television
broadcasting center. However, they couldn't use it as the car with the
equipment was detained by the police.
The Ministry of Communication has confirmed the fact of
discharge of the company's director Andrei Karaim to Euroradio:
"he
has been fired as agreed by the parties. This is the official information".
However, the
reasons for discharge are unknown. The Ministry of
Communication does not comment on the possible connection with the Freedom Day.
The center's employees even don't say whether their boss has been indeed fired.
Euroradio has been told at the reception that Andrei Karaim will not be at work
today.
