Minsk to have a logo

According to its director Alena Plis, a city logo will help to attract twice more foreign tourists to the city. It is planned that the incomes of the city budget will grow by 15%.


Plis: "European cities invest 10 million dollars in average to promote their city brands. Our close neighbour Riga invested 500 thousand euros to work out the design of the city logo. Incomes from tourism have made 40 million euros for a year. Elaboration of a single style of Minsk will help us to file an application for participation in a contest "European City of Culture" in 2013"
